Michael JosephDOLBYOf Stretton, Burton on Trent, died 11th March 2022, his 83rd birthday, in Burton Queens and General Hospital, after a very short illness. Mick was a former Grenadier Guard, serving in active duty in Cyprus and North Africa and worked tirelessly throughout his life until retirement. He was interested in everything, and everyone - always spending the time of day with anyone he met. He was the dearly beloved husband and soulmate of 57 years to Barbara, much loved father to his only daughter Sara and father in law to Stuart. Dearly loved brother, brother in law and uncle. The funeral will take place on Monday 4th April at 11:15am at St Mary's Church, Stretton followed by a short committal service at Bretby Crematorium (Anglesey Chapel), at 12.15pm. The family will welcome people back to The Monk's Bridge, Church Road, Stretton for a celebration of Mick's life. Black need not be worn. Family flowers only please, donations in memory are payable to Help for Heroes.
